While I wanted to stay much longer in my Airbnb, I found Worcester to be a bit uneventful. Not to say I didn’t enjoy myself and here are my memories of Worcester. I really enjoyed meeting some great friendly people in the town. And as I indicated I loved my Airbnb. It had a very comfortable bed, hot shower with strong pressure rain head, fast internet, a full well stocked kitchen, large living room with bay windows looking out into the lush backyard. There was a bus stop very close, a large grocery, several restaurants and a nice forest walk into town (where I saw a movie for only $5). Everything I needed and it only cost $38.70 per night. But beyond that and the wonderful Half Timber houses there is not much to see/do. That did not slow me down though. I spent time at the Hive Library. Checked out the statues in the Corn Market and the Tudor houses on Friar Street, be sure to have a pint at the 14th Century Cardinal’s Hat Pub the oldest in Worcester.
Also be sure to search out and visit the fascinating George Marshall Medical Museum.
Finally the highlight me was visiting the 1837 Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce factory. They do not conduct tours but I was lucky to meet one of the engineers who gave me a lot of insight into the plant, alone with a bottle of L&P right off the line. Very cool Experience.
