When I told folks that I was visiting Nailsworth the response back was “why?” Well to be honest it was not on my radar for a travel destination but I had a collogue there, was sort of in the neighborhood and decided to visit. This was one of those Experiences that are not planned (the best) and end up being an amazing surprise. Nailsworth is a Lovely town. There are several wonderful restaurants, numerous shops and a small square with a market on the weekends. The Nailsworth Stream runs thru the village and is beautiful – do not miss having a pint at the Egypt Mill Hotel & Restaurant and meet the locals.
Not far up the road is Beaudesert Park in Minchinhampton with walking trails thru the fields, cows and the perfect place to fly a kite. If you want a true slice of English Country Life – Nailsworth is the place to visit.
