Memories of Riga Latvia (almost nada)
So here I am back on the bus, now heading to Riga Latvia. I only had a short layover here and it was raining but I did get to see Latvian Academy of Sciences – an absolutely oppressive building, the HUGE TV Tower and wandered around the market that fills at least two full blocks. Had a Lamb stuffed pastry for 1E and again on the bus to Kaunas Lithuania. Note along the route are Kilometers and Kilometers of yellow flowers being grown, so beautiful – covers the countryside. They are Rapeseed (or Colza) being grown for feed, but mostly for canola oil = bio fuel. This is what I love about taking the Bus is really being able to see the country side. The drawback is I want to stop and check things out & can’t. So far the buses have all had wifi, a restroom and some even have TV with movies…
